In our meetups you will find enthusiastic Esperantists ready to practice together the international language, Esperanto. People at all levels of fluency are welcomed, even if all you can say is "Saluton!"
The Esperanto Society of New York, founded in 1905, has a long in New York and links to other Esperanto societies around the world and local organizations in the city.

Join us for an in-person evening conversation meetup of the Esperanto Society of New York! All levels are welcome — whether you’re fluent or just starting out.
This time, we’ll read and discuss a new article from Libera Folio titled “Ĉu Esperanto fiaskis aŭ sukcesis?” by Liu Xiaozhe. The article explores how the Esperanto movement should adapt to modern realities and what success really means for our language community. Come ready to share your thoughts, reactions, or questions — especially about the message and tone of the article.
As always, there's no need to understand everything perfectly — we support each other, especially beginners. The conversation will be mostly in Esperanto, with help provided as needed.
