Legal design - what design has to do with law?

Details

O: "Legal Design?"
Me: "Yes, Legal Design."
O: "What the h*** is Legal Design?"
Me: "So part of Legal Innovation vocabulary is something called Legal Design. It is supposed to make law more accessible."
O: "To whom?"
Me: "To you. To all. More understandable as it has visuals. Images."
O: "So you mean lawyers will now design contracts and make these long texts into images?"
Me: "Well, yes.... But that is not all. We also design the legal system, legal process, contract lifecycle, service and user experience. We try to see it from your point of view."

Join us for our 2024 first event jointly organized with Internet Native Organization (INO) on the exciting topic of Legal Design and how it might affect the legal profession, user experience of legal service and the "not so important issue of" access to justice.

The event will feature user stories and a discussion panel on the basis of these to delve into why to do it and what risks legal design brings to the forefront.

User stories will be presented by
Simoona Hion and Ave-Liis Saluveer, Legal Design Studio
Mariana Hagström, Avokaado
INO use case
