Ethical Societies, which exist in 22 cities in the US [ aeu.org ], are humanist and non-theistic (not believing that our fate is bound to the supernatural or to a God) groups who meet regularly to explore ways to foster a world that is democratic, compassionate, just, and sustainable.
We focus on discovering and supporting human goodness and building ethical relationships with each other and the Earth. We strive to develop more meaningful and fulfilling friendships and a richer community by bringing out the best in others and thereby bringing out the best in oneself.
The national organization of Ethical Societies, the American Ethical Union, is the sponsor for this Meetup and will providing resources to support the organization of a new Ethical Society in Albuquerque.
