To be clear, this book is not about “the Buddha.” It is a fictional story of a gay narcissist who goes through life indulging his ego and calling it something else. Like Donald Trump calling himself a “stable genius” who gets “A+”; Siddhartha is blindly unaware of his own motives and effect on others. He is the absolute center of his world. Yet somehow, this novella is broadly acclaimed to be about spiritual ascendance or wisdom or something. I’ve summarized it below. What do you think? What have YOU found to be lives highest goal?
