During our first meetup, we had the chance to meet everyone, share why we're passionate about photography, and discussed what we'd like to see unfold over time with this group. Everyone was eager to start sharing some of our images so for this our 2nd meetup, it's time to start sharing!

It'd be neat for everyone to share 3-5 images of what YOU like to shoot most. So, if you love shooting landscapes, macro, and your kids for example, bring one of your favorite photos of each type. If you shoot mainly food photography, bring 3-5 of your best food shots, and so on. I think limiting to 3-5 photos will keep things moving.

IMPORTANT:

Please email me the 3-5 images at john_procopio@yahoo.com if you are not part of our Flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/2594750@N22/). If you are part of the group, add the photos there!

I will have two iPads with retina display for this next meetup for looking at the images. As we go through the photos, feel free to share the "behind the scenes" of the shot and any other relevant info.

ALSO:

Going forward, it might be neat to have assignments or themes where we spend the time apart shooting new images to share for the next meeting. So, it'd be great if you also brought 1-2 ideas for a future assignment to the next meeting, and then as a group we can vote on which one to do first! Some examples of an assignment or theme might be: textures, black-and-white, trees, etc. There are literally thousands of options so think about it and bring your ideas to the next meetup!

And one last note of housekeeping regarding this next meetup - it's at a place called the Filling Station which serves alcohol. I wanted to make this clear in case there's anyone uncomfortable with this. I did speak with the owner and he seemed very welcoming of us meeting there. They have wifi and he specifically said that you're welcome to bring food there (or have it ordered). They do serve various sodas, fyi.

Look forward to seeing everyone there!
