What we're about

Welcome to Eventprofs London - a community and series of events for anyone that organises, exhibits at or is interested in a career in the events industry.

Why is our meetup special? :

2 speakers each month that share their wisdom and experiences, giving you useful ideas and tools to take away and use for your next events.

Each month, the meetups are held in a different venue so you get to see interesting spaces around London. So far we have held our meetups in tech company event spaces, shared working spaces and dedicated event venues.

Our organising committee have a background in tech-related events so we often have speakers from tech and digital industries - offering cutting-edge and innovative ideas and methods that are transferable to all event planners.

We record our talks so even if you cannot attend one month, you can catch up on our YouTube channel.

We provide drinks (and sometimes nibbles too) to our guests to create a relaxed and informal space to chat and network.

We are suitable for all levels - you just need to be interested in events with a passion to learn more - both from experts and others in the community.

We cover a wide range of topics including (but not limited to): building communities, creating diversity in events, careers, tech/apps, marketing and PR, crisis management, running events abroad, scaling events and more. We feature speakers from a range of organisations that are involved in many types of events from small meetups to large multinational conferences and everything in between.

Eventprofs May Meetup with Sasha Frieze - "Events with purpose"

Welcome to our May Eventprofs London meetup! We are delighted this month to welcome two fantastic events experts that will share their insights with you! Our first speaker is Sasha Frieze, MD The Business Narrative. Sasha has more than 20 years experience in corporate events. She will be sharing her wisdom with the community and we cannot wait. Talk Title: Events with Purpose: Creating an Effective Event Narrative Crafting an event value proposition which brings together the strategy, planning and delivery required to curate and execute impactful events can feel like a minefield. How do you effectively summarise all the complex event elements to everyone involved in the project? Who are your stakeholders? What’s the purpose of the event? How do you ensure that your event execution is designed to ensure the strands of your strategy are clear? How will you evaluate its success? In this session, Sasha will share the Event Narrative Framework, and walk you through a process to simplify you thinking about each event so that you can communicate easily with clients, guests, delegates and partners. Come along to gain new insights and ideas for your own events, make new connections and meet other event professionals. There will be some drinks and nibbles provided plus we will enjoy some drinks at a local pub afterwards to continue the conversations. ============================================== Agenda: 6:00 pm - Doors open with drinks, nibbles and networking. 6:30pm - Sasha Frieze - "Events with purpose" 7:00pm Drinks, nibbles and networking 7:20pm - TBC 7.50pm - Informal Q & A Panel Discussion with the speakers 8:10pm Wrap up followed by drinks and networking at nearby bar!
