Serious Board Game Night Featuring Lost Ruins of Arnak (Session 2)

Details
Session 2 of 2 continuing with our new "Serious Board Game Night" theme, this month we are featuring the "Lost Ruins of Arnak" for two consecutive sessions. In the Lost Ruins of Arnak, a team of explorers (the players) have found traces of a great civilization and must lead an expedition to explore an island, find lost artifacts, and face fearsome guardians, all in a quest to learn the island's secrets. Lost Ruins of Arnak combines deck-building and worker placement in a game of exploration, resource management, and discovery. Decks are small, and randomness in the game is heavily mitigated by the wealth of tactical decisions offered on the game board. With a variety of worker actions, artifacts, and equipment cards, the set-up for each game will be unique, encouraging players to explore new strategies to meet the challenge.
As with all games in the Serious Board Game Night theme, this either contains a bit more complexity or requires more time to complete than a typical board game thus we are offering two back to back weekly sessions so players have a chance to play more than once and learn the rules to get a good idea of strategy before we move on to another featured game.
The rules and playthrough tutorial can be found here:

If you have a suggestion for the Serious Board Game Night theme, let us know!
Games suitable for serious board game night are ones in which:
a) the average playtime is around or exceeds 3 hours, and/or
b) the rules are more complex and require a lot more strategy and concentration than social events permit.
Players are encouraged to watch "how to play" videos online prior to the game to minimize the time needed going over the rules prior to play. The host will provide links to "how to play" videos, and those playing should have at least watched the videos once before arriving. We still plan to teach the game, but want some general familiarity first.
Alcohol is allowed at serious board game night in moderation. Food and drinks in general are not allowed ON the game table as many of these games are VERY expensive. We’ll have side tables for food and drink.
Non players (visitors) are allowed to come and watch the game being played if they are interested in the game but there were not enough spots available for them to play.
Visitors however are expected not to interrupt the game to socialize. These extra spots are for those interested in seeing a game being played that might not be featured again for a while.
NOTE: The location of this event is NEAR the address provided below. Please expect the actual address after you RSVP
Note: If you RSVP for this event and haven’t connected with the host (Len or Lee) 48 hours prior to the event, we’ll politely move you to ‘not going’ if there are others on the wait list.
