Beginner's Yoga Class: Wednesdays, 12 Noon
$10 Per Class, $75 for 10 classes.
In the Beginner's Yoga Class, one will practice simple stretching and breathing methods that have profound effects and lasting benefits including more energy and stamina, better posture and stress response, improved sleep and an enhanced sense of well-being. Everyone is invited to come as it will be very informative and accessible to all students of yoga, new or experience. Please bring a mat if you have one, though there are some available if you don't. Come move and breath with a devoted student and aspiring master of yoga, Aaron Briggs.
Aaron Briggs is an emphatic yoga teacher who considers other's needs and feelings before doing anything in class. His goal is to help everyone feel more balanced and walk away feeling better than when they came. His knowledge and understanding of yoga comes from a direct lineage to the Himalayas via Karina Mirsky, Rod Stryker, and the Pandit of the Himalayan Institute of Yoga where Aaron lived for two years. It is one of the oldest and most respected yoga retreat centers in the US and has been residence of many talented yoga teachers from all over the World. Since moving to Portland, Aaron has been a personal trainer and yoga teacher at local gyms in order to bring Hatha Yoga to people who might have not have otherwise had the opportunity to learn helpful stretching, breathing and meditation techniques.
