If you routinely (or even occasionally) shoot in National Parks, National Wildlife Refuges, US Forests or BLM lands, this session is for you. About 10 years ago Congress passed a law that requires federal land managers to issue filming permits for photographic and video use of public lands. (Note - this doesn’t apply to state or local parks).

Permits fall into two major categories and photographers are often confused about needing a permit or which permit to acquire. This presentation will walk through the situations and circumstances such permits are required, inter net links, and general advice from a photographer and retired National Park Superintendent.
