Why did you become vegan or why are you considering becoming vegan?

In the beginning, it was because I became conscious of the fact that I was eating animals who had been killed. And most people don't realize that even if you're vegetarian, you are still contributing to the slaughter of innocent animals. Of course, the extra bonuses are that it keeps me healthy and helps the environment.

What are some things you would like to do as a group?

It would be great if we could make some blankets or something that the small rescue groups need for the animals they rescue. I love the idea of a vegan cookie exchange, even though I have just stopped eating gluten too because celiac disease runs in my family. Doing actions that help animals would be a lot of fun!

First, and foremost, I love animals. I have 2 dogs I rescued and one cat I rescued, but I always like to say that they are really the ones who rescued me.
