We're back to regular events and April is Python Talks at the Forum on Exeter Uni

John Batty is talking about "Experiments with Python on small, low-cost devices" which will include some micropython.
John is a senior developer at Metaswitch Networks, developing next generation telephone systems. He is currently having fun developing microservices with Rust, and has previously worked with Python, C++, C, C#, Lua, assembly language. In the distant past he was lead developer for Microsoft's Remote Desktop. Outside of work, he has worked on computer games with Unity, VR development with Oculus Rift, and has recently been exploring ways to use low-cost hardware to get kids engaged with computing.
