Art and alcohol can be a good mix; it helps with inhibitions!” Mixing drinking, socialising and drawing isn’t new: boozy art collectives were a fixture of 1920s Paris. Well, I fancied bringing a bit of 1920's Parisian spirit to Exmouth. Drink and Draw's are pretty frequent now all over the country, and having attended a number, and thoroughly enjoyed them, I thought it would be great fun to try one in Exmouth. Anybody is welcome to join the group. The aim of it is to have fun primarily, laugh a little with existing friends, and maybe make some new ones too, all in the name of "art". The majority of us loved art at school, but if you're like me, you've stopped doing it as real life got in the way. And with photoshop and computer tools in general, I have forgotten how to draw, and the enjoyment it brings. The evenings will be themed, with loose guidelines to not contain your creativity, but channel it. The event will be held at The Hook, Line & Drinker, which is pretty arty itself, with original artwork plastered over all of its walls. We will provide all materials. There will be only a small charge of £1 per person to go towards the materials. The bar will be open throughout, so you can fuel the creativity too. Look forward to meeting you.
