Working the Domain of edUX + Design Thinking for Educators
Details
This just in: Given how everyone has voted on the topics and formats survey, we’ve decided to add a workshopping/design thinking activity to our Dec 9 meetup. Here is an updated agenda:
Domains of Experience Design for Learning: Review and discuss the results of the activity we did last time. Help us build from the ground up —co-construct this Meetup. What would you like it to be? Last time, we poured over a card sort in groups to think about the domain of “Experience Design for Learning." This time we’ll look at the results, and work to further hone in.
Topics/formats exit survey: Review and discuss the results. Which topics rise to the top, what are useful formats, and who can present on them, both amongst ourselves and in folks we might bring in?
Design thinking for educators: Kim Ducharme will lead us in a portion of a design thinking workshop originally developed for an Emotions in Learning course at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
We are thrilled to say that the good folks at MIT's Teaching Systems Lab have offered us a space in which to meet. A very special thanks to TSL’s Director Justin Reich, and Sarah Jane Vaughan, for your generous help with this.
Location: MIT, Room 4-153. That’s building 4, room 153.

Parking is a bit tricky and expensive in the area. We recommend taking the T. There are some garages, but they run about $25. There’s also some limited street parking.
We hope you can join us, and please do spread the word! #edUX
