“Building software is not like building cars - or is it?”
'Building software is not like building cars' is an oft quoted phrase still used by people in the software industry.
I’ve actually done both of these things professionally and this is my take on the truth or otherwise of this statement.
I will highlight similarities and differences of the two and hopefully you’ll gain an appreciation of a different viewpoint of the processes and practices that we all use everyday
