We’ve been sold on the benefits of infrastructure as code. Better consistency, improved developer productivity and reduced costs to name just a few.

A traditional implementation often means defining infrastructure as configuration in the form of ARM or Terraform templates... but could there be something better then terraform or ARM?

Pulumi offers intended state configuration defined as actual code. In this talk, Simon discusses the advantage of this through working examples.

GUEST SPEAKER: Simon Pinn 🤓

For 20 years, Simon has been architecting, designing & developing applications. His industry exposure covers Finance, Health, Entertainment, Media & Gaming just to name a few.

Simon's hands-on experience with varied technologies is truly impressive; It was very hard to narrow down a topic for today because there were so many to choose from (Seriously. You almost got a talk on Elmish in the SAFE stack...)

When he’s not coding, you’ll probably find Simon in the outdoors surfing 🏄, kitesurfing 🌊, swimming 🏊‍♂️ and running 🏃.

Simon is both a lifelong learner and teacher and he’s looking forward to sharing his passion with you today. 👨‍🏫
