Join us this spring for ExploraTots at Battle Creek Regional Park! ExploraTots is a free, guided nature program for toddlers and their caring adults. Meet inside Battle Creek Recreation Center (75 Winthrop St. S) before the hike. The hikes will take place from 3:15-4pm on Tuesdays, March 12 & 26, April 9 & 23, and May 14 & 28. Siblings and friends are welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Call Battle Creek Recreation Center at[masked] for more information. Please note: ExploraTots is an outdoor program that runs rain or shine unless school or after-school activities have been canceled. In any case, please be sure to dress for the weather!
FORMERLY our Bruce Vento EcoSteward events. What we'll do: We are holding drop-in events to assist in restoration of Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary. All tools will be provided. No experience is necessary- this is a great activity for anyone who wants to get outside, explore a new park and learn about restoring our natural areas. Join us on your way home from work! Who: Individuals or small groups of all ages Why: Explore a new park, give back to the community, be outside and meet awesome people! Work done: our work can be light to moderate in difficulty. Typical work is weeding, removing invasive species, some planting, brush hauling and fall seed collection. Meeting Location: Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary (293 Commerical St, Saint Paul 55106). Join Saint Paul Natural Resources, the Minnesota Dragonfly Society, Capitol Region Watershed District, and others as we survey dragonflies and other macroinvertebrates from the air and water. Learn all about dragonflies: what they do for us, what they can tell us about our climate and water, and what we can do for them.
