What we’re about
Whether you're new to Connecticut or have always been here, you've heard there's nothing to do in the state, but there's actually a lot of hidden gems. This is an activities-based social group for people in their 20's, 30's, and 40's. We'll be doing a variety of activities, so there should be something that everyone can enjoy!
Event No-Show Policy:
If you're RSVP'd to an event and are unable to attend for any reason, please change your RSVP, post in the event, or send the event host a message. Failure to notify the event host prior to the event start time will be noted, which several consecutive no-shows may result in your removal from the group. In addition, if an event has an attendance cap, with people on the waiting list, at least a 24-hour notice is required. Any notice less than 24-hours will be considered a no-show. However, if a reservation was made, a no-show or less than a 4-hour notice may cause your immediate removal from the group.

July 19, 2025 Hartford, CTConnecticut's longest running Pop-Culture Convention! Located along the banks of the Connecticut River in downtown Hartford, ConnectiCon returns for it's 21st year! As Connecticut's oldest fan run convention, we proudly host a multi-genre selection of Cosplay, Gaming, Celebrity Guests, Panels, Workshops and all things Pop-Culture! (Note: the convention does run from July 17 - July 20).
To find out additional information regarding ConnectiCon, including how to purchase a pass for Saturday July 19, 2025, visit their website @ https://conventy.com/events/connecticon-xxii/purchase
Description found on their website for the Saturday Only Pass:
- Saturday Only Members may pick up their badge beginning at 9am on Saturday, July 19, 2025. ConnectiCon will be hosting events at the Connecticut Convention Center from 9am until 11pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025; the Marriott Hartford Downtown from 9am until 1am. Our after-hours partner, Convivial Fest, hosts complimentary events for our 18+ and 21+ members, at off-site venues throughout downtown Hartford, beginning around 7pm.
If you purchase your Saturday Only Pass by the end of 4/30/2025, using promo code: CCWXXII, and opt in to have your pass mailed to you ($15.99 charge), total cost is: $77.93
- If you purchase your pass on/after 5/1/2025, you will not have the option to have your pass mailed to you. While you will save $15.99, this will now require you to pick up your physical pass in person on 7/19/25 (when I went to last year's ConnectiCon, the pick-up line was very long).
- Regarding promo code CCWXXII, I am unclear how long this promo code will be valid for (Thank you @ Adam for sharing this code)
Time/Format of Meetup Event:
- Since I have never organized an event like this before, I'll coordinate with everyone who has validated that they have purchased a Pass, especially as it gets closer to July 19th, regarding what time we will meet up, where to meet, etc.
Feel free to post here or message me directly with any comments/questions.
