Who Comes to the Events?
This group seems to attract people who love the great outdoors, enjoy exploring, and like tasty food in interesting corners of the county.

As you will all agree Cornwall is a great county, and isn't it more fun if you explore with a group, make new connections or just simply enjoy the presence of other company, even if you prefer to walk alone.

Let's look forward to another year of celebrating Kernow!

When Do the Events take place?
At the moment we are able to organise them during the week and weekends.

Helston to Porthleven via Loe Pool and return - 8 miles

Meet at free car park next to Flora Motors on Porthleven Road Helston, opposite boating lake. Post code TR13 0TA

This is the walk that Adrian put on for the Helston and Lizard Walkers on several occasions. It is one of my favourite walks. The walk is just over 8 miles. Although it is quite long, there is a break for lunch half way at Porthleven, and the walk does not seem that far. In Helston, park at the rough car park and make your way to the starting point at the bridge across the road from the boating lake. We will then walk through the estate to the stables. We will then follow the path to the coast and then onto Porthleven. The plan will be to have a pub lunch or a packed lunch by the harbour. The pubs can get very busy and you may wish to avoid a long wait by taking a lunch or buying a pasty. After lunch, we will continue to sea front and head along SW coast path to Loe Lake where we will follow the path back to the car park at Helston. The walk is easy to moderate, most of the climbing up hill is at the woods at the start, any other hills are downwards, or very short inclines. There is a slightly longer version of the walk that goes around to the other side of the lake. Today, the walk will just go back along the path taken to get to Porthleven. It keeps the distance down and makes the walk slightly more accessible. Laurence will not be coming on this walk as he is away. However, there are several people that have walked this path several times. You should be fine !! :-) Please arrive at 10:20 for an 10:30am start. Thank you.

And of course explore some of this beautiful county! There are some wonderful nooks and crannies in Cornwall so if you are curious like me you will certainly enjoy, and most walks involve a cup of tea in a nice cafe. Please bring thermos if you want to have a cuppa on route, and a snack. There will also be a chance of a cuppa at the end. Meeting Place: Outside Trelissick Toilets! Parking: Trelissick Gardens (there is a parking fee, but if you are looking for free parking there is a lay-by just on the left before Trelissick entrance, and its a 10 min walk along the road to Trelissick from there) Timings: The full walk will be approx 1.5 hours and then tea after The Route: 'The Woodland Loop' with views of the estuary for those who want to stretch legs and take dog/or no dog for a walk. Followed by a quick cuppa before the cafe closes. The daffodils should be appearing so a feel of Spring in the air. See you there! Below is some of the boring but important info! Weather In the event of heavy rain its unlikely walks will happen so please see the website a few hours before the walk for an update in comments section, if it is cancelled. If there is drizzle, it's likely walks will take place. Just dress wisely with woolies/waterproof walking boots and a raincoat! £1 meetup: To ensure we can continue the walks we appreciate £1 contribution per person per walk for meetup costs x
