Established in 1982, FNEW is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing professional development and networking opportunities to entrepreneurial and corporate women at all professional levels and stages in their career. FNEW was founded as a resource for women to share knowledge, exchange ideas and provide support to and with other women. Today, the group benefits its members and guests with a broad networking experience made possible by a diverse membership of women representing many different lines of business.
FNEW holds monthly dinner meetings (excluding July and August) in Norwalk or Westport, CT. The meetings are aimed at bringing members and guests together in a relaxed setting. The meetings consist of a 45 minute networking session, a sit-down dinner (cash bar), and a live speaker presentation. The meetings offer members and guests alike the opportunity to explore stimulating topics of interest to the professional woman. Previous speakers have addressed personal and professional development including: financial independence, stress management, entrepreneurial issues, enhancing professional image, current business topics, career transitioning and networking techniques.
