San Diego Dog Meetup - #PackWalk

Easy 2 mile walk starting at Sunset Park, heading down to Hotel Del and back. The goal is to enjoy the view while working in a heavily populated area, with lots of other dogs and distractions around.

We have grown an amazing and supportive community. To keep everyone safe and promote a calm environment, by attending our walks you are expected to follow & respect our rules:

1. All dogs must remain on leash at all times, handlers must maintain a 3 foot lead. NO retractable or bungee leashes permitted.

2. NO greeting dogs inside or outside our pack until the walk is over, with permission. Please always keep dogs on leash. We know some dogs are friends, but use this time to practice following structured socialization.

3. Maintain at least a 6 foot distance to prevent nose-to-nose/tail interactions. If your dog is a beginner or reactive, we recommend taking more space if needed, by walking at the back of the pack.

4. Come prepared and advocate for your dog. Bring adequate water, poop bags, treats, etc. Monitor your dog and always do what’s best for them. If your dog is slowing down, consider stopping early. If your dog is panting, request a break to give them some water.

Our Community Pack Leaders will be leading the walk and can answer any questions that come up. We are looking forward to meeting you and your pup!

Join us as we weave our way through UTC so your pups can practice navigating through distractions. We recommend parking in the Sunset Garage (close to food court)

We’ll meet BEHIND the little dog park just past Tender Greens on the lawn. We recommend arriving early for any potty breaks before we begin. Parking is free for the first 2 hours, so we will be sure to finish well ahead of that.

Park as close as you can to the UTC Mall food court and dog park.

Easy walk to enjoy morning coastal views in La Jolla at the Cove! We will walk about an hour around La Jolla Cove, working on distraction training with birds, squirrels, and sea lions. This is a gorgeous walk along Coast Blvd, around the park and Cove area. Park on the street and meet on the grass in front of the Rec Center. Recommend arriving early to find street parking.

We’ll start slowly by walking through the presidio before making our way into Old Town, past shops, and a variety of scents and sounds. We keep an easy pace, but there is a moderate incline on the return. Easy to moderate (because of the ascent), 2-2.5miles.
