How the Queen City Helped American Women Win the Vote

Details

This month Desirée Willis will will share the story of how the Queen City played an integral role in getting women the vote.

At age 12, Desirée renounced her fundamentalist Christian faith and discovered a passion for Women's History and Women's Rights after winning an award from the National Organization for Women for her portrayal of Susan B. Anthony.

She has studied Cincinnati's role in women's suffrage and has created an urban hike during which she teach walkers about the city's history. It has become an annual event on the weekends before elections as a way to encourage folks to vote.

Come join us, meet Desirée, and learn more about your history.
