About Repair Café Odense:
It is a non-profit organization helping our community in Odense reduce waste and learn repair skills by providing advice and tools to repair items, whether a broken toaster, torn shirt, or punctured bicycle tire.Flug and Repair Café have a similar goal. To take control over the things we own by studying how stuff works to the extent were we can continue to use, maintain and repair it.
Of cause Flug is mostly about using, studying, maintaining and repairing computers running Linux and Free and Open Source Software. The fact that a computer works for longer when running Linux is mostly a by-product for us. But a by-product that is good for the wallet, the trade balance and the environment as well.
Why pay Repair Café now:
Not everyone share the same goals as Repair Café Odense and Flug. Many computer users these days are being suggested to replace their hardware. Not because their computer doesn't work. Not because the new hardware will be more useful to them. But simply because they are told that their computer will be unmaintainable and no longer be safe to use. Flug can present a solution to this problem based on Free and Open Source Software that is still maintained and safe.In other words, we want to be a part of the endof10 movement
