Details
Here’s your chance to learn the fun of standup paddleboarding in the Washington, DC area!
Fall’s coming and so don’t miss one of your last chances to learn the fun of standup paddleboarding in the Washington, DC area this season!
The two-hour lesson is taught by a local legend among stand up paddle board instructors who’s going to provide a top-quality, enthusiastic, supportive environment.
The lesson will be in a safe, calm-water environment where you’ll learn the basics—from how to use your equipment properly, to learn on how to balance on the board, and use the right paddling technique. The instruction is geared toward starting out right and getting a solid understanding of the fundamentals. For those who've been in the previous session, here’s your chance to refine the fundamentals.
The lesson may be held in a section of the C&O canal, or on the Potomac itself. This area is one of the most picturesque settings in the DC area, where there are frequent sightings of eagles, egrets, turkey vultures and other wildlife.
If you already know a little paddleboarding and have your own equipment, you are welcome to come paddle along with the group, cheer your friends on, and get free pointers on your paddling technique.
(You can also register for the Level II class following this Intro class to build on the skills you just learned.)
