Live Online Tech Talk: How to join the Technology Industry and succeed

In this 1-hour workshop, we will take a high-level dive in the mind of a Network Technician. We will talk about the world of technology, cybersecurity, and how this world can open great opportunities for a recession-proof career.

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND THIS WORKSHOP?

This course is designed to enable those aspiring to enter the Information Technology (IT) field to learn what a day in the life of a computer technician would be like. By the end of this talk, you will be familiar with this world, how can you join it, and you will understand what the job outlook and market is like in the IT industry.

In this comprehensive, 1-hour virtual workshop, we will cover everything you need to know about the world of Network Technicians.

ONCE THE WORKSHOP IS OVER, YOU WILL HAVE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Basic functions of what it's like to be a Network technician.
• How to navigate through getting started in this industry
• Understand what it may take to learn IT
• Ask questions with an expert in the field.

In addition, you will be engaged to design a path that is right for you by learning about industry-standard certifications.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Little to no prior experience is required. This course is perfect for anybody who is looking for a better career and/or passionate about developing their skills in the field of Networking.
No prior training is required to take this course as we will start with the basics. We welcome anyone with a thirst for learning.

• Pen/Pad - for taking notes

Arrive 5min before the event start time to ensure connectivity checks. The seminar will be open at 3:55 to check everyone's connectivity.
This class will run in English, but we will do individual assistance in Spanish as needed.
