Hello everyone,

we would love to invite you to the very first Facebook Developer Circle Ruhr.
For our Kickoff we've invited two awesome speakers: Tobias Wegner with:

Der Vortrag beinhaltet einen Überblick über die unterschiedlichen Skill-Typen und zugehörige APIs, die Amazon zur Interaktion mit Alexa anbietet, sowie die jeweiligen Einschränkungen. Wie kann man einfach starten und was wird darüber hinaus insbesondere bei einem Smarthome Skill an Backend-Infrastruktur benötigt?

What the heck is Oxidation anyway? - A deep dive into Rust
In the nearly 3 years since its first stable release the programming language Rust has found production adoption by major companies such as Dropbox, Chef or Canonical. Google and Facebook have experiments for new projects written in Rust. Open source projects are taking a look as well. What made this language such an interesting choice for a variety of projects?

Rust promises to be a safe, concurrent, practical systems language. This talk will introduce these concepts with code and real-world examples, giving you a deep technical overview of Rust and its main concepts. After this you will know Rust's strengths and when and where to use it.
