On Thursday May 30, FairCo TEEM's Design Night returns, this time with local experts Matt Smith, Matt Giuggio, Jackie Lightfield and John Rudolph.

For the past three springs, we've held FairCo TEEM Design Nights, leveraging the expertise of the many talented people who live in Fairfield County. Matt, Matt, Jackie and John represent a great cross-section of what our region has to offer.

Matt Smith Biography

Matt is the President of Orchard Systems, a consultancy providing Startup Advisory services. As one of the internet's first User Experience architects, Matt designed and built the web's first e-commerce sites, airline ticketing portal and Super Bowl store. He's led UX and Product Design for two startups that were successfully acquired, and logged his share of corporate experience designing products for AOL, Thomson Financial, American Express and Chase. In addition to User Experience, Matt has held executive positions in Software Engineering and Customer Operations, where he leveraged his cross discipline expertise in pursuit of creating exceptional Customer Experiences.

Mathew Giuggio Biography

Matt is a Senior Front-End Developer at Coroflot.com (http://coroflot.com/), an employment and community site servicing the creative and design industries. He studied graphic/information design and computer science, and has been working in the industry for 5 years. He is a day walker navigating the space between design and development with ease. He specializes in product design, user experience, and creating javascript-driven data visualization applications. Recently he built a proprietary job board network application, led the execution of the responsive mobile offering, and is working on a new profile display and search system. Matthew’s input and direction has been an integral to the development and execution of the company’s core product offerings including the Portfolio Display System, The Coroflot Design Salary Guide, and job posting distribution tools. Previously he was a sound engineer and brewmaster overseeing operations at three microbreweries. He is an accomplished musician who lives with his wife and two young children.

Jackie Lightfield Biography

Able to leap tall tales and faster than a speeding viral market, Jaqueline Lightfield has used her super hero skills in the fight against mediocrity. Her career spans serial entrepreneur adventures in the areas of design, marketing communication, product design and community development. Lightfield currently serves as Chief Problem Solver at Norwalk 2.0, a community creative development organization.

Lightfield was co-founder and President of blowtorch studios, a Connecticut based design firm for 11 years. Blowtorch designed web based applications and web sites for a wide range of fortune 500, non profit, arts organizations and start ups.

John Rudolph Biography

John is a Senior Designer and Programmer at Stamford's Taylor Designs. John joined the firm in 2007 as designer, responsible for the development of identity programs, sales tools, and educational publications. John graduated from Syracuse University in 2005 with a BFA in Communications Design. Upon graduation, he began working as a staff designer at the Museum of Science and Technology in Syracuse, NY. A move to Connecticut followed, working first as an art director at Silver Creative Group in Norwalk and then as an art director at Brand Reality Group, also in Norwalk.
