HTML Basics: Learn The Code Essentials For Bloggers, Copywriters, and Marketers
Details
If you’re a blogger...marketer...copywriter...and you don’t know much (or anything) about HTML, you’re lacking a skill that many of your peers already have. Yikes!
And while you don’t need to know how to build an entire website, knowing how to use code to manipulate WordPress, a landing page, or even the layout in your email marketing tool can give you a competitive edge AND and save you so much time when it comes to creating and executing your content strategy.
With basic HTML skills, you can:
• Understand how your blog or website is structured. (Because hey, that’s kind of important!)
• Fix stubborn WordPress (or another similar tool’s) formatting issues WITHOUT having to contact support.
• Save SO much time. (No more wasted time waiting for developers!)
So if you’re ready to dive into HTML + give yourself a competitive edge (you owe it to yourself to try!), then join Shannon Wiedman for “HTML Basics: Learn The Code Essentials For Bloggers, Copywriters, and Marketers,” where we will cover everything you need to understand the basics of HTML. (Note: If you’ve never worked with HTML before, this is the perfect session to learn some basics! And even if you have a little experience with HTML, you’ll likely pick up a tip or two along the way. 😉)
We’ll meet in the far back room at the Prairie Den. Shannon's talk will begin around 5:30. All meetups are free.
Meet Shannon Wiedman
Shannon leads the Product Design team at CoSchedule, an editorial calendar for content marketers that schedules, organizes, and manages content all in one place. Shannon is a web designer turned front-end developer that believes design is more than what something looks like; it is about how it functions for the user.
After designing websites for many years, Shannon decided she wanted to start building the websites she was designing. While learning to code she came across a program called Girl Develop It, a national nonprofit that exists to provide affordable and judgment-free opportunities for women interested in learning web and software development. Her curiosity in this program led her to get involved and start a chapter in Fargo where she is now a Co-Leader and teacher.
