What we're about

The mission of this group is to create a place for Feminists living in East Nassau/West Suffolk to gather and discuss Feminist literature. We intend to maintain a supportive and welcoming environment for all Feminists. We recognize the Intersectional nature of modern Feminism and welcome diversity. We encourage people of color, members of the LGBT community, as well as all ages and abilities, to join us as we create a new community right here in our existing community!

In the interest of making this group accessible to everyone we are committed to choosing books which are freely available through our local public library system.

If you are on Facebook please visit our sister page https://www.facebook.com/groups/feministsandbooks/ as that format allows for expanded discussion and sharing opportunities which are not available on the meetup platform.

If you don't use Facebook, please join the Google Group https://groups.google.com/d/forum/feminism-is-for-everybody-book-club-and-discussion-group I have found the messaging system Meetup uses to be a bit testy, so I set up the Google Group, its much easier and more reliable.
