Different routes each week to explore the rolling country side around Topton and Kutztown. Relatively flat with occasional hills depending on group's preference. Easy social pace of 13-14 mph, averaging about 20-25 miles per ride. Total ride time about two hours. Will regroup and take a break at the half way point. Some riders may be a little faster, but leaders will ride at the advertised pace and/or keep pace with the slowest rider. No rider gets dropped. All riders must have a helmet. Bring water, spare tube, repair kit, and a "have fun attitude". Rides will start at 5:30pm. Rain or heavy winds will cancel ride. Any cancellations will be posted by 2:00pm day of ride. Tuesday nights at Bear Creek Mountain begins this Tuesday and will continue through the month of May. Bear Creek offers challenging trails with plenty of rocky uphill climbs and rocky descents that keep your attention. You will need a capable mountain bike, helmet, hydration drink and a positive attitude. We leave from the upper parking lot over looking pond promptly at 6:00 PM. Please stop in at the hotel registration desk to pick up a season trail pass.
Wednesday night mountain bike trail rides have been cancelled for the season. Night riding is not allowed at TREX. Hope to see you in the Spring. "A" Ride will be a continuous moderate pace ride and be led by Eugene Gallagher. Please choose your pace accordingly. All participants must have a working mountain bike, helmet, spare tube and friendly attitude. We leave parking lot promptly at 6:00 PM. Rain cancels ride.
