MONTHLY ETHNIC DINING - MOROCCAN CUISINE WITH BELLY DANCING

We continue our monthly ethnic dining get together in various locations so that our members can meet, socialize with each other and discuss past, current and future travels.

We are looking for volunteer hosts to host a lunch/brunch/dinner in/close to their vicinity in the upcoming months. The restaurant must be ethnic and different every month; must be able to do separate checks; must be able to accommodate a large group of 15 or more and must have free parking or be metro accessible. Please submit your ideas to Maureen or I with the date/time that you are able to host and we will post it as an event.

This month we will be opening up our tastebuds to Moroccan cuisine.

Moroccan cuisine is extremely refined, thanks to Morocco's interactions and exchanges with other cultures and nations over the centuries. Moroccan cuisine has been subject to Berber, Moorish, and Arab influences. The cooks in the royal kitchens of Fes, Meknes, Marrakesh, Rabat and Tetouan refined it over the centuries and created the basis for what is known as Moroccan cuisine today. After dinner, we will be entertained by a belly dancing performance at 8:30 PM.

NOTE IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING MENU:

For a group of 8 or more people, there’s only a price fix 5-course menu (includes meat and vegetarian dishes) for $35 plus 10% tax and 20% gratuity which amounts to a total cost of $45.5. If you order alcoholic beverages/juice/soda, that will be extra. Unfortunately, we will not be able to order off the regular menu since we are a large group and it is Saturday night!
