What we're about

We have frequent results-focused meetups (https://www.meetup.com/Federal-Big-Data-Working-Group/) that provide opportunities for a broad community of participants to focus on big data products for the Federal Big Data Initiative:

• Federal: Supports the Federal Big Data Initiative (http://semanticommunity.info/A_NITRD_Dashboard/Making_the_Most_of_Big_Data), but not endorsed by the Federal Government or its Agencies;

• Big Data: Supports the Federal Digital Government Strategy (http://semanticommunity.info/AOL_Government/Building_a_Digital_Government) which is "treating all content as data", so big data = all your content;

• Working Group: Data Science Teams composed of Federal Government and Non-Federal Government experts producing big data products; and

• Meetup: The world's largest network of local groups (https://www.meetup.com/about/) to revitalize local community and help people around the world self-organize like MOOCs (Massive Open On-line Classes) being considered by the White House (http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2013/12/18/pcast-considers-massive-open-online-courses-moocs-and-related-technologies-higher-ed).

The Federal Big Data Working Group Meetup (http://semanticommunity.info/Data_Science/Federal_Big_Data_Working_Group_Meetup) is also about helping government agencies develop:

• People – Data Scientists/Chief Data Officers

• Process – Data Infrastructure

• Products – Data Publications

Some examples:

• EPA (http://semanticommunity.info/Data_Science/Data_Science_for_EPA_EnviroAtlas)

• FDA (http://semanticommunity.info/Data_Science/Data_Science_for_OpenFDA)

• NOAA (http://semanticommunity.info/Data_Science/Data_Science_for_the_NOAA_Chief_Data_Officer)

• HHS (http://semanticommunity.info/Data_Science/Data_Science_for_the_HHS_IDEA_LAB)

• USDA (http://semanticommunity.info/Data_Science/USDA_Data_Science_MOOC)

• Eastern Foundry (http://www.eastern-foundry.com/)

And provide MOOCs/Meetups for training and networking.

Project Discover is a process-mining solution built on the TIBCO(R) Connected Intelligence Cloud that allows you to discover, learn, improve, and predict process behaviors from event logs and data produced by operational systems. This is #3 in the 2022 series on Project Discover by the TIBCO LABS™ group.

Watch this session to learn how to:

  • Understand the concept of milestones for defining points of interest in your processes
  • Use milestone definitions to filter events and simplify your processes
  • Use milestone definitions to calculate performance metrics, such as duration
  • Use analytics to visualize and interact with the results

Is the Future of the Enterprise Decentralized?

Network event

Register here to join.

Enterprises are going through a massive transition driven by a generational shift in people, global supply-chain realignments and macroeconomic changes. Decentralized applications are expected to bring this transformation contrary to the cloud & SaaS applications of the previous decade. There is a growing possibility of the future of the enterprise becoming decentralized over this decade.

DAOs are making decentralized governance, administration and finance possible even for large, complex and distributed organizations. Many venture capital funds have embraced the DAO model for financing decentralized startups. Recent crises in crypto will only accelerate maturation in liquidity, lending, risk management and regulation of consumer data.

This Think Tank event sponsored by TIBCO has an excellent panel, who will debate whether becoming more decentralized is the answer to the challenges faced by enterprises.

AGENDA (PDT):
