Safe Routes to School in Lake City (Jane's Walk)
Details
Lake City and the surrounding neighborhoods are home to a growing number of children who attend Olympic Hills Elementary School and will be impacted by the schools closure and rebuild. On this walk we will identify some of the challenges crossing Lake City Way and NE 125th Street that kids might experience when they walk to school and discuss short and long-term opportunities for improvements that could be incorporated into the Lake City urban design project.
When: Sunday, May 4, 2014, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Walk Leader: Katie Sheehy, Seattle Department of Planning and Development
Meet up at: Kaffeeklatsch, 12513 Lake City Way NE, Suite H, Seattle, Washington 98125. For those interested, we could continue our conversation at Elliott Bay Brewery after the walk.
