Feet First Neighborhood Walking Ambassador Training

Details

Become a Neighborhood Walking Ambassador. This is your opportunity to lead a variety of featured Summer/Fall Park Walks!

This training is for anyone interested in leading walks throughout the Rainier Valley neighborhood. We have created a series of walks showcasing John C. Little Park in New Holly and the Rainier Beach Playfield in Rainier Beach. We have also partnered with Seattle Summer Parkways and will be leading walks in Ballard, West Seattle, and Othello and Columbia City.

As a Neighborhood Walking Ambassador you'll receive a Feet First T-shirt, leadership training, and a better connection to our work to create and promote more walkable communities. Neighborhood Walking Ambassadors are instrumental in engaging people to explore their community by foot, providing information about advocating for safer, more accessible places to walk, and educating people about the many benefits of walking by leading walking tours.

Feet First Walks are open to people of all ages and abilities, The walks are created to highlight enjoyable routes and trails, public art, interesting architecture, and other surprise and delight features you can only see when you walk.
