What we're about

Dedicated to propagate life, health and success in all life situations, we offer violent and non-violent conflict resolution based on the Filipino Martial Art "Pekiti Tirsia Kali".

We are part of the Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association (PTTA) which offers time-tested Pekiti Tirsia Kali to modern combat tactics for operators and trainers in Law Enforcement and Armed Forces.

The Philippine Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is a system of combat-proven strategy, tactics, and techniques executed through the principle of offense, counter-offense, and recounter-offense. Training instruction will provide students with clear and concise knowledge, understanding, and skills in blade fighting and its application to empty-hand as well as all-edged and impact-weapon combat. Training will cover the foundation methods of Pekiti-Tirsia and progress to advance application.

A practitioner will need to be able to apply theory and practice of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali in combat and in the exercise of the methodology. Different to other systems, Pekiti Tirsia Kali does therefore not offer colorful belts or fancy sashs for graduations, but you are preferred to seek the knowledge, skills and mindset required to preserve your and other people’s life and health in adverse situations.

Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is taught systematically: In a logical order the student learns first the important then the less important, progressing from the simple to the more complex. Thus every Kali student can grow into the system and understand the practical use of the exercises from the very beginning.

Beginners train a compact and easy-to-apply system for self-defense, which in it’s final stage becomes part of a “conflict-management system” that develops naturally from a complete understanding of fighting and self-defense. We train reality-tested methods for counter offense (defense) against empty hands and weapon attacks.

Our Perth group was just launched in September 2018. Our apologies for any hick-ups while setting up operations. On the plus side, our groups are currently very small and each student gets lots of attention by the instructors.

FEES: In September, we don’t charge any fees. From October onwards, we charge AUD25 per month (which we donate to good causes) and an annual membership fee of AUD100 (which is used to cover equipment, insurances and expenses for instructors).

LOCATION and TIMES: Still subject to change and suggestions by members. We train outdoors to keep cost for members low.

Membership and indemnity forms: coming soon.
