About us
Are you a fan of classic films like The Godfather, Gone with the Wind, Star Wars, Citizen Kane, and Casablanca? Would you like to discuss them with other film fanatics? Then this is the group for you!
We meet monthly to discuss one of the top 100 films of all time (based on the "Top 100 Movies of All Time" list at davesmoviedatabase.com). Please note: We do not watch the movies together. Participants watch the movies on their own.
Also: there is a waiting list for the group so members are not automatically approved. However, that also means that I regularly purge inactive members (generally those who haven't attended for five months or more) to make room for new people.

Discussion: City Lights
Merriam Plaza Library, 6120 Slater Street, Merriam, KS, USJoin us to discuss City Lights (#51 on our top 100 movie list). Charlie Chaplin wrote, directed, and starred in what was to be his final silent film, although it did feature occasional sound effects. Variety.com said, “The silent comedian had spent years finding the right mix of silliness and sentimentality, and the combination was never more sublime than in this romantic pearl of a film.” Read more about the film here.
