FinOps UK London meeting

The inaugural FinOps UK Meetup! We’ll be starting at 6pm and finishing at 8pm and the Cloudability team have kindly agreed to host us at their London office (please say thanks to them if you see them!).

The aim is to keep the session interactive and we have two great speakers sharing their experiences of the world of FinOps. Here’s the current agenda:

18:30 – Stephanie Gooch (KPMG)
Stephanie will share her experiences of delivering FinOps, covering the challenges of controlling cloud spend in a fast growing and complex environment. She’ll discuss how the need to understand cloud costs (and how changes affect KPMG) is critical, not only to optimise resources, but also to sustain growth and increase agility. During her talk, Stephanie will talk about the principles of FinOps, highlighting areas which relate to her role.

19:00 – Sean Heelan (Optimyze)
Sean will cover how code optimisation can give you huge savings. This is an awesomely interesting area that's often overlooked. He'll showcase examples of where code improvements can deliver really measurable savings. It's a completely different spin on cost optimisation, taking it into a new area

19:30 – Networking
