What we're about
The goal of our initiative is to build a FinTech community in Budapest. We would like to give opportunity to fintech entrepreneurs, bank innovators or researchers to introduce their work. Next to that, we want to help the attendees to connect the right people in the sector, such as investors, entrepreneurs, competitors...
Financial technology, also known as FinTech, is a line of business based on using software to provide financial services. Financial technology companies are generally startups founded with the purpose of disrupting incumbent financial systems and corporations that rely less on software. (Daniel McAuley, Wharton FinTech)
Typical areas of fintech are digital banking, lending (especially peer-to-peer lending), payments, remittances, personal finances, digital currency (especially bitcoin), wealth management, equity crowdfunding, banking infrastructures and solutions (eg. security, big data, predictive analytics, software development) etc.
