State of FinTech in 2017

On our first meetup this year we will define what really is fintech and what is the state of fintech in Croatia, region and the world. It is one of the hottest buzzwords in worlds of finance and technology so we invited speakers from both to share their experiences and perspectives.

We will start the event with presentation of FinTech in the CEE region (https://www2.deloitte.com/global/en/pages/about-deloitte/articles/fintech-cee-region.html) report by Lan Filipic from Deloitte. It is the first publication on fintech for Central and Eastern Europe that provides an overview of financial services industry, illustrates potential business opportunities for FinTech companies and estimates the size of the FinTech market in 9 CEE countries. Special focus of this presentation will be on Croatia.

Next our panel will look into top trends that are shaping the fintech industry today. Panelists that will discuss different topics in fintech, ranging from open banking to financial inclusion to blockchain, are:
