Lance Pederson, Founder and Managing Partner of Verivest: "Like in any kind of relationship, there are two parties involved. When it comes to real estate syndications or funds, you have an LP and a GP. Before an LP decides to wire their hard earned funds into a GP’s deal, they chart a path that we affectionately refer to as “DD” or Due Diligence."
During this talk, Lance will flip back and forth between how this process impacts both sides of the table and what’s going on inside the minds of both parties along the way. The objective is to avoid what Lance refers to as a “Shakespearean Tragedy” where miscommunication and misunderstanding may cause an unfortunate outcome.

Lance Pederson has worked in the middle-market real estate space for more than 13 years and has helped over 180 entrepreneurs architect pooled investment funds. He’s passionate about the power of transparency in building trust between sponsors and investors. Among the multiple hats he wears on a given day:
- Founder and Managing Partner of Verivest, an end-to-end real estate investment platform designed to bring transparency to middle-market investing.
- Principal of Fairway America, a private equity real estate equity in Portland, Oregon.
- Host of the podcast ‘The Real Estate Risk Report,’ featuring conversations with real estate sponsors around the topic of risk mitigation
