Coffee and a walk around Sloan's Lake

5224 W 25th Ave

Let's meet up at Coda Coffee, located in historic Edgewater, and then walk to Sloan's Lake! We may see some of the resident pelicans that summer there. They showed up for the season last week. Founded in 2005, Coda Coffee is a socially and environmentally conscious coffee roaster; it was named 2014 Macro Roaster of the Year by Roast Magazine. According to Uncover Colorado, Sloan’s Lake is the biggest lake in Denver, and at 177 acres, the city’s second largest park. If you want to come again, it is particularly lovely at sunset, with stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and Denver skyline. Each July Sloan’s Lake hosts the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival (two days of ancient Chinese dragon boat races), billed as one of the state’s best.
