What we’re about
This group is NOT about photographing models or animals or babies - the thing ITSELF is not what informs the final product - it is what WE do with it. This group is about texture, contour, shading, lights and shadows and everything we can do with them to give IMPACT, starting from a natural object or scene, a person or people in unusual circumstances, or an unnatural object, a found object, a made set - whatever you want to do that leads to a final print that excites and maybe educates. This group is NOT about what kind of camera you use and the techniques related to it - whether it is digital, or large-format film view camera, or your phone camera - it is assumed that you will do whatever it takes to master the device - mastering the image is a different thing - and it is what this group is about.
