the next Finfinity meetup #6 is coming soon!
We will meet you on August 23rd 2017 at 7:00pm at our regular venue, Solution Space. And since it´s gamescom and Devcom week in Cologne, we are going to make a gaming edition out of the next meetup. The topic this time will be: "Gaming meets Fintech".
As usual, we will have some presentations and enjoy cold drinks, networking and discussions afterwards.
- Our first confirmed speaker is Kirll Babich, Head of FinTech Advisory at TME AG.

Kirill Babich is responsible for all topics regarding FinTech startups and venture capital at TME AG. Kirill Babich has a profound experience and expertise in the area of venture capital, specifically in FinTech areas such as robo advisory, digital wealth management and artificial intelligence. His expertise primarly comprises the establishment of strategic planning processes, development of innovative business models as well as equity financing for startups. Furthermore, Kirill Babich is responsible for the conception and development of TME FinTech Database and TME FinTech Score.
Kirill studied in Frankfurt (Germany) and in San Diego (CA, USA) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics with major in Finance. Kirill authored and co-authored several articles about the digitalization of financial industry and the trends of personal finance in professional journals and conference proceedings.
Kirill will talk about “Virtual Reality in Banking”. He will explain the use cases for virtual reality within the financial industry, who the virtual reality market players are, which value do virtual reality add to a customer and how it can influence our everyday life in the near future.
- Our second talk will be held by Mark Caruso and Matthias Gall.
Mark Caruso is a project manager and scrum master at trimplement GmbH.

Mark has been involved in the financial industry since 2005. After studying mechanical engineering & design at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne, Mark joined the London (UK) based online payments provider ClickandBuy, where he led key projects and became responsible for the company's payment processing engine and PCI DSS compliance. After leaving ClickandBuy in 2014 Mark co-founded the first Swiss based cryptocurrency exchange Yacuna and headed the UK branch as Executive Director and Chief Compliance Officer. Mark joined trimplement in 2015 as project manager and continues to lead numerous projects in the financial industry. He was also involved in the development of balancr.io, a market agnostic wallet-as-a-service solution. In his free time, Mark is an active member of cryptocurrency and blockchain community and an enthusiastic gamer since early C64 and Amiga days.
Matthias Gall is one of the co-founders and managing directors of both balancr GmbH and its parent company trimplement GmbH.

He has been working in software development for insurance companies and financial institutions since 2003, when he graduated from the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences with a degree in Computer Science. He started his career as a software engineer at Beta Systems Software AG where he built Identity Access Management solutions for large enterprises. After a one year detour as a system specialist at IKB Deutsche Industriebank, Matthias joined ClickandBuy as a software architect and specialized in emoney management, payment service provider integration and payments processing. Game development was Matthias’ hook into software engineering: for more than 10 years, Matthias was active as a lead programmer in an amateur game development team, sechsta sinn, working on a real-time strategy game which was highly acclaimed in the German amateur developer scene and won several awards; in 2003, he did an internship at EA Germany and was credited as a programmer for EA Total Club Manager (Fussballmanager) 2003.
Mark and Matthias will do a presentation (with a live coding session) about "Get Rich or Die Trying" - Efficient E-Money Management for Virtual Economies.
