What do we do?

"To inform, not reform." Motto of the Denver City Club. We very much agree with it. (Our founder John Wren is a past president of the Denver City Club.)

Flash Franklin Circles are always temporary, always free. Free meals and/or free tickets to theatrical performances or music concerts at some meetings. Book and other discussions on variety of topics, dutch treat if it involves food. We will always focus on current best-selling book or a current movie, theatrical, musical production, if group grows we expect that sometimes the invitation will be for free tickets for that same day. Questions? Call John Wren (720)495-4949

New! We are now having a weekly welcome meeting for Colorado newcomers and newcomers to our group who would like to use the newcomers meeting to reach out to them from their small business (a small business almost always has less than 30 employees, may be just the owner.)

Who should join us?

We are life-long learners in Colorado who encourage our neighbors to be adult learners, too. We cooperate with all, especially those who share our common purpose, to strengthen the grassroots, the voice of the common person in business and politics. We are not affiliated with any institution, organization or association.

Everyone who is interested in what we are doing is welcome to join us here on our meetup site, Republicans, Democrats, members of another political party, and Unaffiliated voters are all welcome. A Colorado steering committee is being recruited. Please let us know if there is anyone you would like to nominate.

If this first metro-Denver newcomers group is successful, our hope is to start similar groups get across Colorado. If new groups do get started we will launch state-wide programs, they are expected to include:

1. Monthly neighborhood newsletters and distribution, an online annual calendar and membership directory, each year a table at state conventions for major political parties and other state-wide event such as the Colorado State Fair, and a brochure explaining how we help make our neighborhood representatives of the hyper-local Republicans, Democrats, other political parties in our neighborhood stronger, and how we are perhaps most helpful to our neighbors who are Unaffiliated.

2. An off-year mock Colorado Caucus starting in 2017 that will include all registered voters regardless of affiliation as Republican, Democrat, or Unaffiliated as voting members at the precinct, county and state levels to adopt resolutions on important issues coming before our state legislature, in 2017 the topic will be our powerful Colorado Caucus.

3. Raising money to assist other states that want to adopt what we are doing and local Colorado groups that need help.

4. A national public relations campaign to help everyone to understand the value of the major-party caucus system and how it is od benefit to everyone, as described in the book Why Iowa? and elsewhere.

5. A national workshop for individual citizens, lobbyists, associations, and others who want to understand the legislative process at the state level.

If you want our help to start a group in your precinct or county or state, or if you want to nominate yourself or someone else to the Steering committee that is forming, first join us here on this meetup site, attend at least one of our weekly Friday afternoon steering committee meetings, and then call John Wren at (303)861-1447.

This is a new project of your Small Business Chamber of Commerce, Inc. We cooperate with local chambers, service clubs, and community newspaper to strengthen the grassroots in business and politics through adult education for people who want to start and grow their own business or non-profit organization, or who want to start a new career, campaign, or project.
