CANCELED DUE TO COVID INCREASE

Part 1 of our 4 Part Learn Your Camera Series

Learn the Ins & Outs of You Camera's Aperture — with Jeff Donald

This is part one of a four part series. Todays two hour class will explain what an aperture is, how it affects exposure, shutter speed, ISO, the perceived sharpness of your photos and much more. By the end of the morning, we guarantee you'll be an expert when it comes to aperture.

Aperture not only is an integral part of the Exposure Triangle, but is one of the factors that controls one of the most important aspects of your photos, Depth of Field. During the class Jeff will use actual photos and other visual teaching aids to insure that your understanding of aperture is complete.

The entire class is recorded, with audio, and will be available to download or stream for FREE for those that attend. Students will also be provided with a link to download all the slides used in the Keynote in PDF format. This will simplify note taking for some students.

Following the class is an optional 10 question quiz that will help you understand what your strong points and weak points are in your understanding of aperture. Results are not shared and it's just a learning tool for the student.

The following three classes will cover Shutter Speed, ISO and the Camera Operation. One topic will be covered each class. They will follow the same structure.

Immediately following todays class is an optional lunch. No food or beverage purchase is required. It's a great opportunity to meet new members and other fellow photographers or ask questions. Please join us!

What FCCP Members are saying about the class.

Jeff explains Lightroom patiently, in a logical sequence, and with strict clarity. He continually checks for understanding, and dignifies all questions. His sense of humor puts everyone at ease . . . . . . Cade

Great group of people, great teacher & a comfortable, quiet meeting site! . . . Jane

I have had good instructors in the past, but Jeff Donald is by far the best. He speaks clearly and loudly, he knows his subject, he knows what is important to cover, he stays on task, he repeatedly asks for questions, he is friendly, he has a sense of humor, and he is everyone’s idea of a leader. . . . . . John

There will be lots of learning and laughter. Jeff Donald will teach each session and he's a certified Photographic Counselor by PMA. He taught photography for 4 years at Montana State University and started the Digital Photography program at the Dunedin Fine Art Center in 2002. Jeff worked for Apple Computer, Ritz Camera Center, and several regional camera retail chains and has worked with 1000's of customers and students during that time. Experienced members will be on hand to share tips & tricks and more.
