Members, dust off your telephoto lenses and get ready to head to MacDill AFB to see the Blue Angles perform overhead. MacDill AirFest 2022 in Tampa, Florida is a 2 day air show event open to the public. The gates to the free event open at 8am and the Tampa air show starts at 9 AM and ends 5 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. The annual AirFest at MacDill Air Force Base attracts over 750,000 people to watch flight demonstrations over the South Tampa air field.

The 2022 MacDill AirFest features the Blue Angles, the US Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron. The Blue Angles fly in close to 70 air shows each year at about 35 air show locations. Each year the MacDill Air Force Base rotates the flight demonstrators so the AirFest is different each year. The last time the Blue Angles performed at McDill was at the 2018 MacDill AirFest.

Other demonstrations at the MacDill AirFest 2022 air show will be announced as more details are released.
