Virtual Photo Challenge: Change Perspective and Show a Vanishing Point

Details
NOTE: Jeff previously posted this Event in 2012. Please read the full Description, before you RSVP.
Perspective is one of the fundamental aspects of photography. It is also one of the most misunderstood principles of photography. Perspective is often thought of as the angle of view. In other words, zoom your lens and you've changed perspective. This is wrong! The only way to change perspective is to change the position of the camera.
In order to change perspective you must move the camera higher, lower, left, right or closer or further away from the subject. Zooming will not change your perspective.
One of my favorite articles on the subject of Perspective (http://photoinf.com/General/NAVY/Perspective.htm) says this about the Vanishing Point:
"In vision, lines that are parallel to each other give the sensation of meeting at vanishing points. When parallel lines, either horizontal or vertical, are perpendicular to the lens axis, the vanishing points are assumed to be at infinity. Other lines, those which are parallel to the lens axis, and all other parallel lines at all other angles to the lens axis meet at definable vanishing points. Thus lines that are parallel to the lens axis, or nearly parallel, start in the front of the picture and meet at vanishing points within the picture or at finite points outside the picture."
And, here are some images (http://www.google.ca/search?q=vanishing+point+perspective+in+photography&num=100&hl=en&safe=off&client=safari&rls=en&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=tz_QT_PAF-fo2gXXhcm7DA&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CJIEEPwFKAE&biw=1274&bih=664) to get you inspired.
This Virtual Challenge is designed to provide an opportunity to find and shoot images with a Vanishing Point Perspective as described in the article excerpt, above.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Note: the rules have changed from the last challenge, so please read carefully...
If you sign up, you must plan to post your single best image, and you may post up to 3 images taken within the time frame of this challenge. All photos must be your own work and taken during the period between the time you RSVP and the date of the challenge. The sooner you RSVP the more time you have to shoot different perspective photos. You are allowed one additional photo from your personal archive, if it represents the required subject. Maximum upload is 4 images, 3 shot for the challenge and 1 from your library.
For this challenge, if you use post-processing (modification after the photo was taken, i.e., you used your computer to crop, change color, frame, lighting, effects, etc.), then you must mention your post-processing methods in your comments. Images not captioned will be deleted after 48 hours.
HOW IT WORKS:
Your personal challenge starts when you RSVP to join us on the challenge. For the time between your RSVP and date of the challenge, you will go out into your world and play. Then, AFTER (and not before) the date and time of the challenge, you may post your photos to the designated photo album. All images must be posted no later than Jan 26, one week after the start of the challenge.
As an aid to other members, you are encouraged to add a few words in your caption about your interpretation of your shot, if not clearly apparent. Please follow all other instructions for posting information about your shot in the caption.
All group members are encouraged to enjoy the photos that are posted by the participants of this challenge and add comments of encouragement and appreciation.
REMEMBER: we will NOT meet in person because this is a VIRTUAL challenge. There will be no judging and no prizes. If you sign up for the challenge, you are making a personal agreement with yourself to take photos and then post your best photos as laid out in the instructions.
Lastly, have FUN !
