We are pleased to announce a new online learning opportunity for all FCCP members. Starting Thursday, August 15, at 8 PM we'll begin our 9 week online Beginning Lightroom class.
The schedule is as follows:
Week 1 — Online Orientation. Students will be required to be online at 8 PM and logged into the FCCP Beginning Lightroom Online Class on Facebook.
Week 2 — Introduction to Lightroom and the Library User Interface.
Week 3 — Library Preferences and Tool Bar will be covered.
Week 4 — Organization of Photos including Collections, Key Wording and Attributes.
Week 5 — Import Module and Export Module, Comparing photos, facial recognition and more.
Week 6 — Introduction to Edit Module and editing tools and their use.
Week 7 — Edit Menu Bar, Sharpening, Noise Reduction, Profiles and B&W photos.
Week 8 — Entire Lightroom workflow and editing photos in Photoshop.
Week 9 — Remaining LR Modules including Web, Print, Book and Map. Class wrap up.
The format is as follows, beginning Friday, August 16 a two our video will be made available to al students. The video may be viewed online, streamed, or downloaded for viewing offline. You will be able to view the videos on Mac or PC, tablets and computers. You will also be able to view the video in the Facebook Group, but the quality of the video may too low of quality to follow the instructor.
Videos will be made available every Friday thereafter until the completion of the course. There are 8 videos in total, each running a little over 2 hours in length, so 16 plus hours of Lightroom instruction.
Every Thursday evening following the posting/uploading of the weekly video on Friday will be a 1 hour LIVE group session with the instructor. During the hour the instructor will answer questions, show additional editing techniques and follow up with students on material covered in the recorded video.
In total there will be 8 weeks of videos and 9 weeks of LIVE sessions, 25 hours in total learning.
The registration fee for the class is $30. Refunds are available until August 23, 2019. From August 23, 2019 on a class credit will be available and the full registration fee may be applied to another class or FCCP activity.
