While it's great to take photography courses, read the mired of online forums and photography websites and read books, the best way to improve your photo skills is to actually go out and take photos. FCCP In-the-Field Mini Workshops are designed to do just that, get you out and shooting.

These 4 to 5 hour workshops are held at some of the best locations throughout the Tampa Bay Area and include Ybor City, Lowry Park Zoo, Tarpon Springs and many of our wonderful parks. Each workshop is limited to just 10 students to insure that each student gets plenty of attention from the instructor. After the workshop, students are encouraged to upload their images to a special photo gallery on the FCCP site. Images submitted will be critiqued by the instructor or other qualified FCCP faculty.

The courses concentrate more the creative aspects of photography and less on the technical details. Students should have familiarity with their cameras functions and menus. This is not a beginning photography course and students needing the very basics should consider taking the Beginning Digital Photography Bootcamp. These courses are ideal for graduates of the Bootcamps and other FCCP classes and workshops.

Like all FCCP educational opportunities, the In-the-Field Mini Workshops are covered by our FCCP Education Guarantee. The guarantee is simple:

Florida Center for Creative Photography students may repeat their paid class, workshop or bootcamp for FREE as many times as necessary to insure that they have completely learned the material presented by the instructor. If you find a better guarantee from any other educational source in the Tampa Bay area, we'll pay for your registration.

We offer In-the-Field Mini Workshops that cover many different categories of photography, including the following:
