Forensic psychologists can offer tips to law enforcement for questioning people while also watching their behavior. Interviews acquire information to develop or confirm leads from witnesses or victims, while interrogations seek to extract confessions. This webinar will cover cognitive interviews, interrogation techniques, hypnosis, deception detection, and kinesic analysis.

Bio:
Dr. Katherine Ramsland teaches forensic psychology and criminology at DeSales University in PA, where she is the assistant provost. A clinician, researcher and consultant for death investigations, with an expertise in suicidology, Dr. Ramsland has published more than 1,000 articles and 68 books, including "How to Catch a Killer" and "The Criminal Mind: A Writer’s Guide to Forensic Psychology." She is a regular contributor to the Sisters in Crime quarterly newsletter, InSinC, and blogger for Psychology Today (www.psychologytoday.com/blog/shadow-boxing).
