Three informative garden club meetings coming up, spaced two weeks apart

From: Suzanne and P.

To all members of Gardeners of Southwest Florida:

The latest meeting in our garden two weeks ago attracted 23 members, demonstrating how large the club has grown recently. We currently have as members 113 couples or individuals.

Meetings are usually held in the gardens of members who offer to host these events. But we don't want those members to feel overburdened with too many visitors. That's why we've been transitioning our schedule to have meetings twice a month, instead of just once a month. With twice as many meetings, each host will have half as many guests--at least in theory.

You can always check the club's web site to see which meetings are coming up. The three currently on our schedule are spaced two weeks apart. Here are their dates, times, locations and titles:

Sunday, April 7, 3 to 5 PM in the Calusa Palms Nursery in Naples: Guided tour of garden & nursery, with plant raffle & plant exchange

Sunday, April 21, 2 to 4 PM in Debbie Lopez's butterfly and water garden in Naples: How to convert a wasteland into a butterfly garden

Sunday, May 5, 3 to 5 PM in Cindy Brown's garden in Naples: Edible Gardening 101: A beginner's guide

You can read full details about each meeting on the web site, where you can also submit your RSVP to let each host know whether you can or can't attend. We look forward to seeing at some of these events the newest members who haven't yet attended a meeting.
